CookoutMennu.us is a reference site. There are no accounts and nothing to sign up for, so the data picture is short. Here it is in full.

Comments and Ratings

When you rate an item or post a comment, that goes into a database hosted by Supabase. A comment stores the text you wrote, the name you chose to give (or "Guest" if you gave none), which page it belongs to and the time it was posted. A rating stores only which item it is for and how many stars you gave.

No email address, no account and no IP address is attached to either. Do not put anything private into a comment, because comments are public the moment they post. Want one removed? Email info@cookoutmennu.us with enough detail to find it and we will delete it.

Advertising

This site carries Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads, and those cookies may be based on your prior visits to this and other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads based on that activity.

You can opt out of personalised advertising atGoogle Ads Settings, or opt out of third party vendor cookies ataboutads.info. Ads still appear; they are just no longer tailored.

Security Check

Comment and contact forms show a Cloudflare Turnstile widget. It exists to make automated spam harder and it processes limited browser signals to decide whether you look like a person. It never asks who you are, and posting works whether or not it completes.

What Your Browser Stores

A few things live in your own browser's local storage and never reach us:

Which items you have rated, so the widget can show your stars and stop a second vote.
Your saved meal plan and weekly budget from the meal planner.
A timestamp of your last comment, used only to slow down rapid repeat posting.

Clearing your browser data removes all of it. Nothing there identifies you.

Hosting and Traffic Data

The site is served by Cloudflare Pages, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses and request times for security and performance. We do not use those logs to profile visitors. If analytics are added later, this policy will say so before they run.

Children

This site is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. If a child has posted a comment, email us and it comes down.

Your Rights and How to Use Them

Because there are no accounts, there is usually nothing held about you to retrieve. Where there is, such as a comment you posted, you can ask to see it or have it deleted by emailing info@cookoutmennu.us. We answer these within a few days.

Changes

If this policy changes, the effective date at the top changes with it. This version is effective 14 August 2026. Page last reviewed 27 May 2026.
